Home is where the heart is, even in the middle of nowhere

Where is the middle of nowhere exactly?

Cape West Coast is a region of the Western Cape province in South Africa and is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean on the west and the Swartland region on the east.
The region stretches for over 400 km from north to south and is well known for its scenic beauty and fertile fishing grounds. The main towns in this region are Saldanha, Paternoster, Vredenburg, Velddrif, St. Helena Bay, Langebaan, Hopefield, Darling and Yzerfontein. The region's main nature reserve is the West Coast, National Park. Wikipedia
After good Winter conditions (rain, followed by sunshine, followed by more rain) Spring announces itself with a display of veld flowers, in colours too many to mention. The countryside is covered with flowers with names that read like the who's who from the Fauna and Flora lists of the world:
white rain daisies and tiny yellow button daisies,
blue flax and pink nemesis
winecups, sparaxis,
lachenalias and babianas
colourful vygies,
watsonias, and fields of orange and yellow “stink-kruid"
