Welcome to “About Kookfontein Rooibos Tea” – we are Norman and Karin, and this is the place we call home. Nestled deep in the Cederberg mountains near Clanwilliam, you’ll find our Rooibos farm at the end of a long gravel road, right in the middle of nowhere – and exactly where we love to be.

Since 2008, we’ve been living in a house built in 1904, surrounded by Fynbos, wildlife, and the calming scent of Rooibos in the air. This is not just a farm. It’s a way of life. We grow our Rooibos the way nature intended – no chemicals, no fuss – just clean, natural tea straight from the soil to your cup.

Rooibos (pronounced ROY-boss) is a plant that grows only in the Cederberg region of South Africa. It’s naturally caffeine-free, rich in antioxidants, and known for its health benefits. People love it for its smooth taste and calming effect. At Kookfontein, we farm only Natural Rooibos, which means our tea is air-dried under the Cederberg sun without any mechanical processing.
