Rooibos Iced Tea for Every Occasions

Festivals
Festival Rooibos Iced Tea
Ingredients:
- 4 cups water
- 4 Rooibos tea bags
- 1/2 cup sugar (or honey, to taste)
- Juice of 2 lemons
- Fresh mint leaves for garnish
- Lemon slices for garnish
Instructions:
- Boil the water and steep the Rooibos tea bags for 5-7 minutes.
- Remove the tea bags and stir in the sugar until dissolved.
- Let the tea cool, then add lemon juice.
- Serve over ice, garnished with mint leaves and lemon slices.
Kids
Rooibos Hot Chocolate for Kids
Ingredients:
- 2 cups milk (or non-dairy milk)
- 1 Rooibos tea bag
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoons sugar (or to taste)
- Whipped cream (optional)
- Mini marshmallows (optional)
Instructions:
- Heat the milk in a saucepan until warm, then add the Rooibos tea bag and steep for 5 minutes.
- Remove the tea bag and whisk in cocoa powder and sugar until combined.
- Serve warm, topped with whipped cream and mini marshmallows if desired.
Flea Markets & Craft Markets
Rooibos Lemonade for Flea/Craft Markets
Ingredients:
- 4 cups water
- 4 Rooibos tea bags
- 1/2 cup honey (or sugar, to taste)
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
- Lemon slices for garnish
- Ice cubes
Instructions:
- Boil the water and steep the Rooibos tea bags for 5-7 minutes.
- Remove the tea bags and stir in honey until dissolved.
- Let it cool, then mix in the lemon juice.
- Serve over ice, garnished with lemon slices.
Special Occasions
Rooibos Berry Punch for Special Occasions
Ingredients:
- 4 cups water
- 4 Rooibos tea bags
- 1 cup mixed berries (fresh or frozen)
- 1/2 cup sugar (or to taste)
- 1 cup sparkling water
- Fresh mint for garnish
Instructions:
- Boil the water and steep the Rooibos tea bags for 5-7 minutes.
- Remove the tea bags and blend the mixed berries with sugar until smooth. Strain to remove seeds if desired.
- Mix the berry puree with the Rooibos tea and chill.
- Just before serving, add sparkling water and garnish with fresh mint.
Our Basic Iced Tea Recipe
- Natural Kookfontein Loose Leaf Rooibos
- Freshwater
- 100ml Rooibos leaves
- Pot for boiling
- Add water and Rooibos let it boil for 5 -8 min
- Make sure that it cools off completely before putting it in the refrigerator.
Note: We personally do not add any flavours at this stage.
Remember to add the Rooibos leaves to your garden as mulch or to your compost. Your plants will thank you.
